Privacy Policy

GetRightOut collects as little as it can, says plainly what it does collect, and never sells anything about you. This page describes what the site actually stores today, during the beta.

1. Browsing without an account

Your chosen place, How far, and filters stay in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to us except as part of the search you are running.
When you tap Tickets, we log the click: which show, which ticket site, and the time. The log holds no name, no email, no account, and no IP address.
We run no analytics, no advertising cookies, and no tracking pixels.
We never ask for your device location unless you tap 📍. Then your coordinates are sent once to find the nearest city, and are not stored or logged.

2. With an account

You sign in with a link we email you. We store your email address, when you joined and last signed in, and one cookie that keeps you signed in on that browser.
We store what you save: My Scene choices (place, categories, genres, artists, venues) and the shows in My Calendar.
Accounts created during the beta carry a beta flag, so we can read beta feedback separately.
There are no passwords to leak, and we never take payment information.

3. Requests/Errors

What you type in Requests/Errors is stored with the time, your browser's user-agent string, the page you came from, and your IP address (used only to stop abuse). Your email is stored only if you type it there.

4. Email

We email you sign-in links you ask for. During the beta we send no other email to testers.
If you later turn on the upcoming-shows email, a Tickets click from that email records that it came from your email subscription. You can switch it off at any time.

5. Who else touches the data

Railway hosts the site and its database. Resend sends our sign-in email. Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser fetches fonts from Google.
Ticket links go to the ticket seller, which has its own privacy policy.

6. Affiliate links

Some Tickets links are affiliate links, so we may earn a small commission if you buy, at no cost to you; it never decides which shows we list.

7. Your choices

To delete your account and everything saved with it, or to get a copy, send a request through Requests/Errors on any page. We do it by hand within 30 days.
We never sell your data, and we will say so here, with a new date, before that changes in any way.
